Sexual Health Peers
Workshops
The goal of the Sexual Health Peers is to provide information and support to students to facilitate their sexual health and overall well-being. Understanding that sexuality is an integral component of self, the program services are designed to enable students to make decisions and modify behaviors to positively impact their health and academic success. Sexual health topics include: sexual function, contraception, sexually transmissible infections, sexual orientation, healthy relationships, and you may ask about other topics of interest.
So and So (soandso@uiuc.edu) is available to work with individuals and groups to schedule workshops. Presentations are flexible and generally last about one hour and feature two or three peers. To request a program (Email Us) or print a workshop request.
Interactive workshops are provided for residence halls, Greek houses, academic classes, and registered student organizations, workshop requesters should ensure that at least 10 people attend a workshop.

Our most requested program! In this safer sex workshop, facilitators engage the audience to consider ways to eroticize safer sex. Different sexual behaviors, techniques and sex toys are discussed in this program-with an emphasis on “safe sex is FUN sex!”
Dating 101
What would the perfect date be like? What qualities are we looking for in a potential partner? Dating 101 explores the issues of romance, intimacy, and dating among college students, and offers tips for better communication in our relationships. Differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships are also explored.
Birth Control
This workshop provides information on all of the current available methods of contraception, including those available at McKinley.
Sexually Transmissible Infections
You may be able to list them, but can you identify the symptoms, treatment and testing options? This workshop will fill in all the details, including which STI’s are bacterial and which are viral. Fun & interactive!
