Beckwith Hall

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign

The Beckwith Facility

Beckwith Hall is designed expressly to accommodate access by persons with severe mobility impairments. It has 32 private sleep-study rooms. The rooms are arranged such that each private room shares a spacious bathroom with roll-in shower with one other adjoining room. Beckwith has a kitchen and dining room where meals are served three times daily on weekdays and twice daily on weekends. The library/computer lab holds four computer workstations with voice activation and a wide range of peripheral assistive input devices. The workstations are connected to the University Intranet thereby affording access to UI email accounts, and are set up to allow access to Internet resources over the World Wide Web. Beckwith has on-site laundry facilities, and a commons room equipped with a large screen television.

Van accessible parking is available; however, residents also have access to the Division's wheelchair accessible bus system which can accommodate the majority of their campus transportation needs.
