Beckwith Hall

POSITION

Beckwith Residence Hall Door Monitor position is a nine month appointment, with a an hourly wage of $5.50. Duties to begin Fall semester and continue through Spring Semester. Hours of Duty are 7:00 p.m. to 12 midnight. Based on University of Illinois regulations in regards to employment UIUC Student employees may work a maximum of 30 hours a week. All extra help employees may work a maximum of 900 hours per academic year.

QUALIFICATIONS

After receiving training, Door monitors must be able to work independently and must be dependable, reliable and responsible.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Monitor the front entrance of Beckwith Hall for staff, students and guests.
2. Screen staff, students, and guests.
3. Escort guests to the students rooms when necessary.
4. Activate emergency procedures when necessary.
5. Notify Management of any entrance door repair.
6. Perform staff duties in the event of policy violations, health and.or life safety violations, and other emergencies.
7. Document nightly activities when necessary.
8. Record all hours worked, assure that proper verification signature is on the timesheets, and assure that timesheets are received by the management team at the appropriate times.
9. Door Monitors must secure replacements in the event that they are unable to cover a scheduled shift. The management must be informed of any change in scheduled service.
10. All other duties as assigned.
