Night Clerk / Floater

POSITION

Beckwith Residence Hall Night Clerk, a nine month appointment, at a competitive rate. Duties to begin Fall semester and continue through Spring semester, with training sessions scheduled as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

After receiving training, Night Clerks must be able to work independently, must be dependable, reliable and responsible. Lifting, and/or assisting in the performance of transfers of residents who need this assistance is an essential function of this position. Some experience with providing assistance to people with disabilities and/or previous experience in health care services is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Perform security rounds of the facility at a minimum of 4 times per shift.
  2. Monitor the nurse call system, respond to calls and assist residents with disabilities. Perform personal assistant duties as necessary.
  3. Perform 3:00 a.m. turns of residents who require this assistance.
  4. Activate emergency procedures when necessary.
  5. File maintenance request for items found in need of repair during security rounds.
  6. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of common rooms, such as the lounge, the cafeteria, the library and the second floor classroom.
  7. Performing staff duties in the event of policy violations or health, life safety or other emergencies.
  8. Other duties as assigned.
