Laundry Room, Computer Lab, and Parking Policies:

Non-Residents are not permitted to use certain residence hall areas such as laundry rooms, computer room, rental parking spaces, storage rooms.

LAUNDRY ROOM AND COMPUTER LAB

kwith was originally designed to be accessible for students with disabilities; therefore, these students are given first priority with regard to using Beckwith's special facilities and equipment (e.g., the laundry, the computer room/library). Able-bodied student residents are able to use these facilities only in the event that it does not inconvenience students with disabilities. Under no circumstances are non-residents allowed to use these facilities (i.e. ex-students, friends or families). Personal Assistants are afforded use of the computer lab ONLY, to read work related e-mail messages. Floaters and Night Clerks are also afforded the use of the computer lab, ONLY during shift hours and ONLY if computer access does not take precedent over Floater/Nigh Clerk work or residential computer lab access. Any non-resident found using this equipment will be asked to leave. Further penalties may be exercised at the discretion of management. A non-resident working with a disabled resident on a specific project may do so. Wheelchair-accessible campus computer locations are listed inside the computer room.

PARKING

Beckwith Hall is allotted IT Parking spaces. Since Parking is limited it is reserved for the disabled students and Beckwith full time staff members. Parking in the Beckwith lot is PROHIBITED by personal assistants. Three staff parking spaces may be available to the Night Clerks and 6-12p.m. Floaters. Persons working these shifts must identify themselves and their vehicle to the Director or his/her designee prior to parking. All Violators will be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.
