About Us
Today, Hip Hop Culture is
reflective of the many life-styles that children adhere to within
the premature stages of development. Within the past thirty
some years of its existence, Hip Hop Culture has grown to be
a large-scale worldwide movement that has dictated and affected
the lives of many. Currently, the stage of Hip Hop has
undergone extreme altercations as a result of the effects of
its utilization through marketable strategies within the mass
media as a means for capital, which has had, and is still having,
direct effects on the massive amounts of populations, in particular
youths.
Our Mission
Our mission is to employ college
students as role models to encourage youths within the community
to take active roles in the teaching, learning, and sharing
of ideals - in order to improve not only the knowledge but the
learning experiences of youths within the schooling system.
By communicating and connecting with students at a comprehension,
we will attempt to create a healthy, productive, and caring
community between The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
and the cities of Champaign and Urbana.
