Designing this website was my first experience in branding, and unfortunately not a good one. U of I has very strict rules as to how the Imark (that icon) can be used and which parts of the school should be mentioned where. The reference to sponsoring groups was somewhat fought over - each group wanted a prominent place. I was happy with the way I made the little men fade in to the banner, they proved to be a troublesome graphic in the previous design.

We also wanted to make sure visitors could get a quick impression of what CII is all about the instance they visit. This area could have also been used to describe the picture to the left.
