As described by the website, "The Community Informatics Initiative (CII) is a research and teaching center focused on working with communities to address their information and technology needs. Our mission is to address literacy in the Internet age, equitable access to the means of digital production, and policy related to communities and information technology."

This is essentially the group I work for at GSLIS. Their website is one of the first formalized 'business' sites I've ever constructed. It's also one of the first sites I've done where I have competent/dedicated help with content. It's been a learning experience... and a teaching experience.

The home page utilizes screen real-estate to help direct attention and compress a lot of information in to one place.
