The bottom half of the home page has crucial feature driven sections. The top displays the two most important sections of the website - audio samples and music videos - anyone visiting will want to see/hear these. Others might be looking to find friends or determine who's in the group, and given the friendly appeal of their name, the GND wanted to make their profiles easily accessible. All of their albums can be foudn on the left, along with news items.
