Website Demo 34
I'm not exactly sure where I got the idea for it, but this was one of the demonstration candidates for this very portfolio design! I elected to not use it, mostly because it didn't really give a lot of room for pictoral displays, but wanted to keep it around anyway. I just recently updated it and gave it three different color themes - I felt they brought a cool new life to the website. The idea is that this site wouldn't involve intensive navigation but instead sparse but relevant items. The top of the front page would have a mission profile or text corresponding with a graphic spotlight feature, while the bottom would have primary content items and news.
Check out the High Resolution Graphic if you want to see all three colored layouts.
After this demo posting I later put the design to use as a temporary page for a class I help teach, Social Perspectives on the Family. It fit very nicely even though we had to switch over to the University Compass system. See the last thumbnail or the high resolution graphic for more details.
